Creative in business.

Marketing & Strategy

The thinking behind the visuals—and the people, ideas, and decisions that give the work a purpose.

ABSA

Campaigns & community

Creative Director

Making people stop scrolling—and show up.

ABSA had a lot going on, and I got to help make it look that way. I created the posts, newsletters, and event graphics that brought each part of the organization to life.

Explore the project
The starting point

I worked with seven branches and 35+ directors, so the creative work was always changing. A kickoff meeting needed a different feel from another event, but everything still had to feel like it came from the same organization.

How I approached it

That balance shows up in the kickoff graphic below. The magazine-style layers give it some personality, while the date, time, and location are easy to spot. There's room to have fun with a design, as long as people can still figure out what it's inviting them to do.

What came from it

Across ABSA's publicity work, we reached 900K+ views in three months and 2.5x cross-organization engagement by the end of the semester. The kickoff graphic is one example from that wider body of work.

Skills in practice
  • Campaign design
  • Visual storytelling
  • Cross-team collaboration
  • Newsletter design

LifeWorks

Mission-led communication

Marketing & Communications Intern

Making important conversations feel approachable.

At LifeWorks, I helped bring mental-health content to a younger audience. The creative challenge was finding a voice that felt approachable while treating the topic with care.

Explore the project
The starting point

LifeWorks was building a stronger digital presence, and I worked across social content, research documents, and donor-facing materials. Each piece needed to fit the same brand, even when it was speaking to a different audience.

How I approached it

I created mental-health posts, gave research and statistics a clearer visual format, and designed document covers. I also tracked weekly analytics and researched 23 local micro-influencers. From there, I put together outreach messages, collaboration ideas, and a guide the team could use to start those conversations. It connected the creative work with the practical steps needed to get it out into the community.

What came from it

Interactions increased by 60% during this work. I also left the team with 23 potential local collaborators and materials to support outreach.

Skills in practice
  • Brand stewardship
  • Influencer research
  • Outreach writing
  • Meta Business Suite
  • Performance reporting

PathwayIQ

Research & launch strategy

Content Marketing Intern

Figuring out what people need before hitting post.

For PathwayIQ, the work started before the launch. I helped turn research about healthcare careers into content for people trying to figure out their next step.

Explore the project
The starting point

The startup helps early- and mid-career healthcare professionals explore opportunities and career changes. That gave the content a pretty practical job: connect what the product offers to the questions people already have.

How I approached it

I researched search terms, compared other startups, and brought ideas into weekly meetings with the founder. Working with healthcare administrators and UGC creators also brought different perspectives into the launch plan. The useful connection was between the research and the creative: what does this audience care about, and how can a carousel or short video make that easier to understand?

What came from it

That preparation included 100+ researched search terms and 30+ content assets, giving the team material to work with ahead of launch.

Skills in practice
  • Audience research
  • Competitive analysis
  • Go-to-market planning
  • Content strategy

ASOBU

Product storytelling

Social Media Content Creator

Finding a bottle's place in someone's feed.

A water bottle can show up in a lot of ways on TikTok. For ASOBU's Bestie Bottle line, I explored skits, everyday moments, talking videos, and more direct product content.

Explore the project
The starting point

I worked with the vice president, social media lead, and content manager to support the new line. That meant taking a trend or an idea and finding the version that fit both the product and the audience.

How I approached it

I developed 120+ concepts from TikTok and Instagram trends and produced 10+ short-form videos a week. With that much content moving, feedback became part of the process. I adjusted pacing, tone, and messaging with the team, trying different formats while keeping the product placement natural to the scene.

What came from it

The content brought in 20K+ views. Behind it was a much larger bank of 120+ ideas to explore, adapt, and build on.

Skills in practice
  • Trend analysis
  • Product placement
  • Short-form video
  • Filming & editing
  • Creative iteration

KJM Thrifts

Brand building & commerce

Founder

Turning my love of clothes into my own thing.

KJM Thrifts brought together a few things I love: vintage clothes, reworked denim, and getting to build something of my own. It also gave me a very hands-on introduction to marketing.

Explore the project
The starting point

I built the business on eBay, Depop, and Grailed, selling vintage pieces and custom reworked jeans. Selling online and at Guad Vintage Market meant looking after both the brand and the customer experience.

How I approached it

The creative and business sides were tied together. A listing needed to show the piece well, and a customer conversation needed to help someone feel comfortable buying it. Taking KJM to an in-person market added another layer: the brand had to work face to face, too.

What came from it

KJM grew to 150+ sales and 2K+ total followers across its platforms. One day at Guad Vintage Market brought in more than $1K in sales.

Skills in practice
  • Entrepreneurship
  • eCommerce
  • Brand building
  • Customer service
  • In-person selling

Canfield BHP

Recruitment & student connection

Marketing Assistant

Helping students see themselves at Canfield BHP.

As a student, I know how much easier it is to connect with a program when you can picture yourself there. I bring that student perspective to the content I create for Canfield BHP.

Explore the project
The starting point

I work with the marketing lead on recruiting content, welcome-week posts, and student outreach. The balance is keeping the program's professional image while making the content feel like it's actually talking to students.

How I approached it

The orange pinned-post series puts the questions a prospective student might have in one place: how to apply, what a day looks like, and who to ask for help. The Leadership Kickoff graphic has a different job. It brings the event details together with photos of students having fun, so the invitation feels more personal. Across both, the design helps the information feel connected to real student life.

What came from it

Alongside the visuals, I research content ideas and help coordinate student outreach for recruiting resources and study-abroad promotion. It's work that brings the practical details and the people behind the program into the same story.

Skills in practice
  • Recruitment marketing
  • Audience perspective
  • Brand consistency
  • Social content design
  • Student outreach

SPARK Magazine TX

Editorial & campaign storytelling

Social Media Strategist

Giving a good story a visual point of view.

SPARK lets me bring together storytelling, fashion, and design. I help create content that feels connected from the idea and the shoot to the final post.

Explore the project
The starting point

I work with a four-member Instagram and Spotify content team on weekly content and larger campaigns. There's a mix of keeping things moving and taking the time to give each story its own look.

How I approached it

For a Black History Month campaign, I helped identify, interview, and feature three members, then directed styling and lighting for the photoshoot. Those choices help a set of individual images feel like one story. The separate editorial layouts below show another side of that thinking: using type, texture, and composition to give the photos a rhythm across the page.

What came from it

Our team's ongoing content work reached and maintained 250K views and reached 23K+ accounts. Those figures reflect the wider team's content, alongside projects like the campaign and editorial work described here.

Skills in practice
  • Campaign development
  • Interviewing
  • Photoshoot direction
  • Editorial layout
  • Content collaboration

Tower & Bridge

Local audience strategy

Public Relations Manager · Tiny Grocer client team

Helping a local spot connect with students.

Through Tower & Bridge, I work with a client team on marketing for Tiny Grocer. We're thinking about what would get students interested—and give them a reason to come back.

Explore the project
The starting point

As Public Relations Manager, I help develop a plan around younger audiences, events, and repeat visits. Working with a real client means connecting our ideas to what the business is trying to do.

How I approached it

I meet with the client and team, help shape our direction, and pitch the strategy to local professionals, our executive board, and the client. Our approach includes influencer marketing, local news-calendar outreach, and email marketing. Each channel has a different role in helping people discover the business and stay connected to it.

What came from it

The work is ongoing. Right now, the focus is turning our audience thinking into a practical plan for student engagement and event promotion.
